In response to the never-ending growth of IT on a global scale, we provide information and raw materials in a diverse range of fields. These include the semiconductors that are required for IT fields and the nonferrous metals and their salts that are essential for the manufacturing of electronic components, as well as fine ceramic raw materials, liquid crystals, OLED materials, rechargeable battery materials, functional resin molded parts, functional plating chemicals, various sputtering targets, and vapor deposition materials. Not only do we provide such raw materials, but we also respond quickly to the latest trends and technological innovations in collaboration with our business partners, acting as total coordinator of the electronics industry to create value. Furthermore, we are conducting activities to find new battery materials and systems, developing materials in Japan in addition to procuring raw materials from other countries, and implementing various recycling measures for waste products and other resources.

Ohara handles materials in a wide range of areas across the electronics field, including fine ceramic raw materials, metal paste, high purity raw materials, glass materials, and dispersing agents, which allow us to support our customers as they develop and mass-produce products. We work together with customers throughout the process from the initial stages of development to the construction of the mass-production system. We aim to become a reliable material procurement partner that supports the user’s technological innovation.

Plating and surface treatment

Ohara handles diverse surface treatment chemicals, such as electrolytic and non-electrolytic plating solutions, various additives, nickel sulfate, nickel chloride, and various target materials. This supports our customers as they seek to improve processes and stabilize quality. We propose the optimal solutions for the product characteristics and applications, adapting to the needs of ever-changing manufacturing worksites. We contribute to stable supply and worksite improvements by providing total support in the field of plating and surface treatment.

Other materials

Ohara handles diverse materials that support across the electronics field, including abrasives, films, recycled electronic materials, and various battery materials. Abrasives contribute to high-precision processing, and films are used for their insulation, protection, and functionality. Recycled electronic materials help to recycle resources as high-value-added products, and we support sustainable manufacturing by providing battery materials for next-generation energy.
